# GigMe

GigMe is Canada's on-demand event staffing app from GigMe Staff Operations (Vancouver, BC). It connects event hosts with verified independent gig workers. GigMe is a technology marketplace, not a staffing agency, and does not employ workers.

## Installation

GigMe is a mobile app, not a website login.

Create a **host** account to post gigs, or a **worker** account to apply for shifts.

## Configuration

- Coverage: Canada excluding Quebec (Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Halifax, Regina, and growing)
- Alcohol service: BC Serving It Right, Alberta ProServe, Ontario Smart Serve — verified for bartenders and servers in those cities
- Support: support@gigme.ca (typically within 24 hours)
- Payments: in-app via Stripe after the shift is completed

## Usage

### Hire event staff (hosts)

1. Download the app and create a host account.
2. Post a gig with role, date, location, pay rate, and requirements (usually under 5 minutes).
3. Review AI-ranked applicants. The host always chooses who to hire.
4. Extra applicants can stay on a backup waitlist if a hired worker withdraws.
5. On event day, track arrival and completion in the app.
6. Payment is captured after the shift; hosts and workers rate each other.

### Find gig work (workers)

1. Download the app and create a worker profile (skills, certifications, availability).
2. Browse open shifts and apply.
3. Work the shift and check in on site.
4. Get paid in-app after the shift.

Worker referral: $20 CAD after the referred worker completes their first 30 days.
