GigMe was built by people who believe good work deserves real respect — and real pay. Every bartender, host, stagehand, and event coordinator on this platform is part of something bigger. We show up for each other. We hold each other to a higher standard. And we grow together. These guidelines aren't rules forced on you. They're the values our community has chosen to live by.
GigMe operates across Canada — one of the most diverse countries in the world. Our platform is stronger because of the people in it: workers and hosts from every background, culture, language, and walk of life.
We are proud to be a community that includes and celebrates people of all races, ethnicities, national origins, religions, genders, gender identities, sexual orientations, abilities, and ages. LGBTQ2+ members are a valued and inseparable part of who we are — their presence makes our community richer, and their safety and dignity are non-negotiable.
We also acknowledge with deep respect that GigMe operates on the traditional and unceded territories of Indigenous Peoples across Canada. Indigenous workers, hosts, and communities are not just welcome here — they are foundational to the spirit of this platform. We are committed to building relationships rooted in respect, recognition, and reconciliation.

We don't do average here. Whether you're pouring drinks at a wedding or running a 500-person festival, you bring your best — every single time. That's what separates a GigMe worker from everyone else.
This community is built on mutual respect. Period. We don't tolerate harassment, discrimination, or disrespect of any kind — based on race, gender, religion, age, disability, or sexual orientation. One strike. Account gone. No appeals.
Show Up. Always. You committed. They're counting on you. If something comes up, communicate immediately through the app — never ghost a gig.
Look Sharp. You represent yourself, the host, and GigMe. Dress professionally, arrive ready, and leave an impression they won't forget.
Own Your Check-In. Always check in and mark complete through the app. This is how you get paid and how you build your reputation. Don't skip it.
Your Rating Is Your Brand. Five stars don't happen by accident. Be reliable, be professional, be early. Your rating opens doors — protect it.
Keep Your Certs Current. Serving It Right, Food Safe, whatever your gig requires — keep it valid, keep it uploaded. Expired certs = missed opportunities.
Write Gigs That Attract the Best. Be specific. Great workers choose great gigs. Tell them exactly what you need, what to wear, and what to expect.
Pay What the Work Is Worth. Fair pay attracts top talent. The best workers on this platform have options — make yours the gig they want.
Welcome Your Team. Your workers chose your gig. Greet them, brief them, support them. The best events happen when hosts and workers are on the same team.
Confirm Fast. When a gig wraps up, mark it complete. Your workers earned it — don't make them wait.
Respect Their Time. Last-minute cancellations hurt real people who turned down other work for yours. Plan ahead. Communicate early.
Automatic permanent bans:
— Sexual harassment or assault of any kind
— Threatening, violent, or intimidating behaviour
— Fraud, identity theft, or fake credentials
— Arranging off-platform payments to avoid fees
— Showing up impaired — drugs or alcohol on the job
— Soliciting workers or hosts outside GigMe
Minor first offence → Warning
Repeated or moderate → Temporary suspension
Severe or zero-tolerance → Permanent ban
Report in-app or email support@gigme.ca — We respond within 24 hours.
